Hajj 2022: Saudi Arabia commences registration for local pilgrims

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the start of registration for pilgrims inside KSA, citizens and residents with valid residency who wish to perform Hajj 1443H. They are going to be selected by an online draw, provided that the applicant should not be more than 65 years old in the Gregorian calendar, i.e. those born on 1/7/1957 AD.

Priority will be given to those who did not perform Hajj before, and those who are fully vaccinated according to the status in “Tawakkalna” app. This will start on Friday, 4 Dhu al-Qi’dah 1443 AH (according to Ummulqura calendar), corresponding to 3 June 2022 AD.

In a press release today, the Ministry announced that the online registration will be available via the following link: (http://localhaj.haj.gov.sa) or via “Eatmarna” app, to review all programs available for pilgrims inside KSA, choose the suitable ones, and select companies and institutions providing services that beneficiaries wish to contract with in easy electronic procedures available around the clock until the end of Saturday, 12 Dhu al-Qi’dah (according to Ummulqura calendar), corresponding to 11 June 2022 AD.

“Eatmarna” app and the link enable users to view available packages and creating a favorite package list to choose from and add the companions. The data of registrants, vaccination status and meeting the requirements will be verified, and in case that any of the registrants does not meet the requirements, he will be excluded electronically. Services can be modified and added during the registration period.

The Ministry illustrated that all applicants ensure the accuracy of the information when registering data and choosing packages, noting that in the event that several individuals are registered in one application, the system deals with the group as one application, and if one of them does not meet the requirements, the application will be canceled.

The Ministry noted that there are no additional advantages for early registration, as all registered data will be dealt at once after the registration deadline, to select qualified persons through the online draw.
