Pilgrims have again been advised to observe all Hajj rites and other visitation activities in the holy land in conformity with Islamic dictates and guidelines.
The head of Kaduna State Committee of Ulama to this year’s Hajj, Qãdhi Murtadha Nasir gave the advice in a chat with member NAHCON media team.
He also called on the pilgrims to be patient and remain within the ambit of shari’ah requirements during Tawaf, the two raka’ah at Muqãm Ibrahim and particularly the kissing of the Black Stone.
Ustaz Murtadha Nasir said the kissing of the Black Stone and the two raka’ah prayers at Muqãm Ibrahim after Tawaf are all desirable but not compulsory acts, as to warrant a pilgrim causing harm to himself and or other fellow pilgrims, or worshippers.
The Islamic jurist said the kissing of the Black Stone and or prayer at Muqãm Ibrahim are Sunnah, desirable acts, but refraining from harming and causing unease to self and fellow worshippers is obligatory on believers.
He added that from shari’ah perspective, there was no sense for a worshipper to jettison compulsory acts for desirable ones.
Qãdhi Murtadha Nasir also said there was need for pilgrims not to belabour themselves in getting into Rauda, at Prophet Mosque in Madinah, or salutations to the noble Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and his two companions, may Allah be pleased with them, at all cost.
He said the shari’ah enjoined Muslims to pray wherever convenient within the Prophet Mosque, if getting into Rauda would cause hardships to self and fellow worshippers.
The scholar said same with visiting the Prophet and his two companions, saying the salutation anywhere within, or without the Mosque suffices.
Qãdhi Murtadha Nasir stated that Islam is a simple and easy religion to practice without one unnecessarily overstretching himself, or inconveniencing others.
