The spokesperson of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) Hakeem Baba-Ahmed said he has accepted an offer to serve as Special Adviser (Political) to Vice-President Kashim Shettima.
Baba-Ahmed, a former federal permanent secretary and also former chief of staff to former Senate President Bukola Sarahi, disclosed this on his social media platforms on Monday.
“It is time to make it public that I have accepted the call to serve as Special Adviser (Political) to the VP, Kashim Shettima.
“This is not the time for fence-sitting or criticism when you can be useful in turning the country round. I am honored and humbled. Please pray for me and Nigeria,” Baba-Ahmed posted on X, formerly Twitter
Baba-Ahmed is an elder brother of Peter Obi’s running mate Datti Baba-Ahmed in the February 25 presidential election.
