A Magistrate’s Court in Kano has adjourned to February 9, 2022 the case over the abduction and murder of Hanifa Abubakar, a 5-year-old girl in Kano.
The court sittng at Gidan Murtala on Wednesday also gave an order for the four suspects to remain in custody.
Lawyers representing Kano State Government, led by Barrister Aisha Mahmud had prayed the court for further remand of the suspects to allow for their arraignment at a court which has jurisdiction to hear the case.
The suspects are Abdulmalik Tanko, the school proprietor who allegedly abducted and killed Hanifa, and three accomplices including his wife Jamila, his girlfriend Fatima Jibrin and a male friend Hashimu Isiyaku.
