The Chairman of Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers and Etsu Nupe Dr Yahaya Abubakar has elevated retired Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Haruna Rasheed Mohammed from Waziri Yaki Nupe to Barade Nupe IV (Kpakoyankpa).
AVM Mohammed succeeds his eldest brother, Alhaji Sani Mohammed Mustapha, Barade Nupe III, who died few weeks ago in Abuja after a brief illness.

“The official coronation will take place at the Barade Nupe family house in Bida, in the next few days in Shaa Allah,” according to sources close to the elevated title holder.
AVM Mohammed has held various Air commands before his retirement, including the Commandant, Air Traffic Services Training Centre Kaduna.
