Sergio Ramos has reiterated his desire to stay at Real Madrid beyond the end of his current contract.
The defender’s deal runs out at the end of next season, but it seems the will to extend his tie with Los Blancos is mutual.
Florentino Perez expressed his willingness to keep Ramos for the rest of his playing career and the defender backed up those comments.
“I’d like to end my career here,” Ramos said after the win over Villarreal.
“I don’t think there’s any problem [with the contract].
“I’m going to be here as long as the president wants me.”
Ramos also reserved praise for his coach, Zinedine Zidane, and his teammates after clinching the LaLiga Santander title.
“It’s the reward of hard work, persistence and balance,” the centre-back said.
“We deserve a lot of credit for what we’ve done, despite what some people say.
“Zidane is key. We believe in him and his work.
“Each time he comes, everything he touches turns to gold.
“He’s unique.
