The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun has ordered the posting of new Assistant Inspectors-General of Police to strategic positions.
The newly posted AIGs are Suleiman M. Yusuf (Zone 9, Umuahia), Ahmed Ammani (Zone 1, Kano), Zachariah Fera (Zone 4, Makurdi), whileAugustina N. Ogbodo has been posted to Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex, Lagos.
The redeployment is aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring effective policing across the country, Egbetokun said in a statement signed by the .Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi on Friday.
“The posting of these seasoned officers to these critical roles is a strategic move to strengthen our policing operations and address emerging security challenges,” the statement said.
Egbetokun urged the newly posted officers to prioritise the welfare of officers and men, and to ensure strict adherence to professional ethics and human rights standards.
“I charge you all to work diligently and collaboratively to maintain law and order, combat crime, and protect lives and property,” the IG said.
