Imo Governor Uzodimma swears in five new commissioners

The newly sworn-in commissioners are: Dr. Henry Okafor, Barr. Rex Anunobi, Ukaegbu Emeka Mandela, Prof. Victor Ndubisi Nwachukwu and Prof. Ubaka Chukwuemeka Michael.

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma has inaugurated into office five new commissioners whose nominations were recently confirmed by the State House of Assembly bringing the total number of commissioners in the state to 29.

The newly sworn-in commissioners are: Dr. Henry Okafor, Barr. Rex Anunobi, Ukaegbu Emeka Mandela, Prof. Victor Ndubisi Nwachukwu and Prof. Ubaka Chukwuemeka Michael.

Governor Uzodimma charged the new members of the State Executive Council to discharge their duties and services to the people of Imo State devoid of corruption and non- productivity, as anyone found wanting will be shown the way out.

He said his administration is in a hurry to grow the economy of the State and reduce the economic hardship experienced by the people.

Speaking on behalf of the newly appointed officials, Dr. Henry Okafor expressed gratitude to the Governor for the opportunity to serve and pledged to maintain transparency and efficiency in their roles.

Present at the swearing-in ceremony were the Deputy Governor, Lady Mrs Chinyere Ekomaru Ph.D; Secretary to the Government of Imo State, Chief Cosmas Iwu; Chief of Staff, Barr Nnamdi Anyaehie and other government officials.
