Over 1,500 confiscated motorcycles have been destroyed by authorities of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) administration.
The destruction of the motorcycles was carried out by men of the FCT Police Command, Vehicles Inspextuon Office (VIO), Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) and other paramilitary agencies.

Motorcycles have been banned from the Abuja city centre and parts of the territory.
Dateline reports that the motorcycles were reportedly confiscated for violating the FCT ban or for being used to commit crime.
