
The Nigerian Air Force NAF has explained that it will intensify efforts to carry out aerial surveillance to tackle security challenges bedevilling the country.
The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Hassan Abubakar, said this when he paid a visit to Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed in Bauchi.
He said the visit is his maiden visit to Bauchi State since he took over the mantle of leadership as the 22nd Chief of Air Staff.
The Chief of Air Staff, appreciated the Governor Bala Mohammed, for the support given to the security agents, in ensuring the safety and security of the people, assuring that the Nigerian Air Force would continue to support and partner in that regard.
Air Marshal Abubakar said the Nigerian Air Force would deeply intensify efforts in aerial surveillance, to fish out those that are truncating the relative peace in some parts of Bauchi, especially the local government areas of Ningi, Torro, Tafawa Balewa and Alkaleri.
He exprrssed his appreciation to the governor for his support to the NAF, and warm reception accorded to him and for bringing good governance which according to him will go a long way in addressing hardship amongst the citizenry.
He assured the governot of the NAF’s support, calling on citizens to assist by providing the required support, acknowledging the contributions of other security outputs in the state.
The State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed reiterated his administration’s keeness to partnering with the Nigerian Air Force and other security outputs to enhance the security architecture of the state,
He said traditional institutions and local hunters play a pivotal role in the fight against banditry and other vices, and assured his commitment to collaborating with the NAF to enhance the state’s security for its growth development.
The Governor commendeeld the NAF for its unwavering commitment to fighting banditry, Mohammed pledged to continue to provide the officers of necessary support, calling for continued collaboration and information sharing.
Governor Bala who was visibly overwhelmed by the visit, recognised the professional roles played by the NAF in the fight against insecurity, urging them to maintain the tempo.
On the area of tertiary health care services rendered to the people, especially the host community, the governor said they were highly commendable.
He assured of his administration’s support for security agents at ensuring the safety of lives and property in the state.
