Portuguese superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, has finally revealed why he brokeup with his former girlfriend, Irina Shayk.
Ronaldo and Shayk called off their relationship in 2015, after five years of being together.
There have been speculations that the relationship did not work out because Dolores Aveiro, the mother of the Juventus forward did not like the Russian model.
The 36-year-old footballer said his former lover did not appreciate his mother being with him every time.
He was quoted as saying that Shayk told him to choose between her and his mother.
“We got on very well, but she had this habit of saying: ‘Why do you bring your mother everywhere we go? You have to choose between me and her’.
“I replied that I could never abandon my mother for another woman. I don’t regret breaking up with her,” he said.
The former Real Madrid star is now dating Spanish model, Georgina Rodriguez.
In 2017, Rodriguez gave birth to Alana Martina, who is the youngest daughter of Ronaldo’s four children. (newsbreak.ng)
