The management of Jabi Lake Mall in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja has reopened for business, less than 24 hours after shutting down operations over security threats.
Dateline Nigeria reports that the closure of the mall followed the security alert issued by the United States Embassy in Nigeria warning that there was an elevated risk of attack in Abuja.
In a statement it issued on Friday, the management said it decided to reopen following reassurances from the Federal Government, heads of security agencies, and the Federal Capital Territory minister to the general public,
The statement reads: “To all our valued shoppers.
