Jigawa State government says it has completed all inherited road projects worth over N88. 4 billion.
The state Commissioner Ministry of Works and Transport, Engineer Aminu Usman Gumel stated this while briefing journalists in Dutse.
He explained that the inherited road projects had a total length of 716.5 kilometers.

According to him, the projects include 15 regional roads, seven feeder roads and 20 township roads that were at various stage.
Engineer Aminu Usman Gumel said out of N88.4 billion the past administration has paid the total sum of 32.5 billion naira to contractors handling the projects.
He said Governor Badaru Abubakar renegotiated the contract with the firms handling the projects and 7.58 billion naira discount was realised from the initial contract amount.
He said the state government has also awarded various new projects which include regional, feeder and township roads across the state.
Aminu Usman said, in the last six years, the state government has constructed and renovated over 96 roads with total distance of over 1,642.43 km at the coast of over N175.13 billion.
