Jigawa hosts indigenes who clinched grand prize in Huawei competition in China

Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi has hosted two indigenes of the state Ahmad Abdullahi and Adam Isa Adam who recently clinched the grand prize in the Huawei ICT Innovation Competition held in China.

As proud representatives of our state and nation, their remarkable achievement in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is truly inspiring.

Abdullahi and Adam are from Babura and Roni local government areas of the state respectively.

Gov Namadi said “as 500 level Computer Engineering students at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, their dedication to excellence has been commendable.

“Their winning entry in the AI Competition, which focused on machine learning, underscores their innovative prowess and ingenuity.

“Ahmad Abdullahi’s groundbreaking inventions, including a floods detection robot, a cancer detection machine, and a guiding goggle for the visually impaired, highlight the transformative potential of technology in addressing real-world challenges.

“Their success is a testament to the transformative potential of technology, aligning perfectly with our vision to integrate ICT in governance as part of our 12-point agenda for Jigawa State’s development.”
