A Sharia Court judge Nuhu Falalu accused of verbally assaulting and shaving the head of former Barcelona star Haruna Babangida has been suspended, Dateline Nigeria has learnt.
Babangida had on January 18, 2021 sent a letter of complaint to the Grand Khadi, Sharia Court of Appeal, Kaduna, seeking for damages and penalty against the judge.
Dateline Nigeria learnt that since the reported incident the judge has not presided over any case at his court located in Magajin Gari area of Kaduna metropolis.
Attempts to reach Babangida were not successful but sources close to him said the former professional footballer has been assured of justice.
The ex-footballer, who is popularly known as Daddy and holds Spanish citizenship, is a younger brother to two former Nigerian internationals Tijani Babangida and Ibrahim Babangida.
