The Mass Communication Department of Kaduna Polytechnic is set to host an International Conference of the African Council for Communication
Education (ACCE).
The conference tagged, KADPOLY 2023 is scheduled to hold between 25 and 26 October, 2023.
Speaker of the House of Representatives Abbas Tajudeen, Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani, and Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin will serve as guests of honour at the event while the Emir of Zazzau Amb Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli is royal father of the day.
The Rector of Kaduna Polytechnic Dr Suleiman Umar will serve as Chief Host of the event where former Presidential Spokesman Garba Shehu will present the lead paper.
The immediate past spokesman of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) Garba Deen Muhammad will be the chairman of the occasion where a number of Kaduna Polytechnic Mass Communication Alumni will be honoured.
Dateline Nigeria reports that ACCE Conference is a forum where communication scholars and practitioners from across Africa meet to brainstom on Communication issues and challenges and proffer possible solutions.
“The last time Kaduna State hosted the conference was in the year 2007 at ABU Zaria. And this year’s conference is the first of its kind to be hosted by a Polytechnic in Nigeria,” according to a statement signed by Dr Gambo lbrahim Ahmad, Head of Mass Communication Department, Kaduna Polytechnic.
