The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe is among the 6th batch of intending pilgrims from the state that departed the Kaduna International Airport for this year’s hajj in Saudi Arabia.
Dateline Nigeria reports that Dr Hadiza was on Monday (same day) nominated as the running mate of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Sen Uba Sani.
The APC candidate said he picked Hadiza as his running mate “after consultations with critical stakeholders of Kaduna State.”
“Dr. Hadiza Balarabe has contributed immensely to the giant strides recorded by the Mallam Nasir El-Rufai’s administration in infrastructure and human capital development,” he added.
Hadiza hails from Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
