The Kano State Police Command has beefed up security in and around the main palace of reinstated Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II.
The command also decried the booing of the reinstated monarch by those it described as miscreants.
SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the spokesman for the command, said in a statement that “The incident (booing) occurred while Emir Sanusi and his followers left the Eid ground after the prayers were conducted peacefully.
“Emir Sanusi passed through Shahuci, Kofar Wambai, and Zage where some miscreants out of the large crowd booed him, but local hunters who were part of those escorting the Emir dispersed them.
“The command has provided adequate security in place to tackle any form of security threats during and after the celebration.”
