
A community in Katsina State has held peace talks with bandit leaders terrorizing their area.
Residents of Bicci in Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State sat with no fewer than 10 bandit leaders, including the notorious Ado Aleru.
Katsina State Commissioner Internal Security and Home Affairs Dr. Nasiru Mu’azu confirmed the peace meeting to the BBC.
“Talks were held with Ado Aleru, Kamilu Buzaru, Dogo Nahali, Wada Jargaba, Dahiru Buzu as well as Nagoggo,” he said.



He said on the part of the residents, there were community leaders, clerics businessmen and the chairman of Danmusa local government.
Dateline Nigeria reports that, as part of the agreements, no community will be attacked, no animal will be rustled, while business and farming activities will resume fully.
The bandit leaders, on the part, urged the government to help them with social amenities such as potable drinking water and primary health care centres as well as include them in government programmes.
