The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has granted approval to Nana Babajo College of Nursing Sciences, Malumfashi Satellite Campus to operate as Monotechnic Institution and commence National Diploma programme in Nursing
Equally, Kasimu Kofar Bai College of Nursing Sciences, Katsina Satellite Campus has also been granted approval by “the NBTE to commence HND Nursing. All the approvals take effect from the 2023/2024 academic session.
This is disclosed in a statement by the college’s management on Monday.
“With this new development, both Katsina and Malumfashi Satellite Campuses of the College operates as Monotechnic Institutions and offer ND Nursing programmes.
“These approvals will significantly enhance the academic offerings of the Colleges and provide more opportunities for students seeking quality Nursing Sciences Education,” the statement said.
It also disclosed that plans are in top gear for the commencement of Bachelor of Nursing Sciences Degree programme at Kasimu Kofar Bai College of Nursing Sciences, Katsina through affiliation with one of the conventional University in the Northwestern region.
“In fact, this unprecedented feat is a watershed moment for Nursing and Midwifery education in the country and a clear manifestation of the Provost’s vision of repositioning the College and making it a reference point in Nursing and Midwifery in Africa,” it added.
