The Kaduna State Government, under the leadership of Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has completed the construction of six science secondary schools in Hunkuyi, Manchok, Jere, Buruku, Rigachikun and Pambegua, in collaboration with Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).
These science schools are established to promote science education and empower more students to develop competence in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics as core skills for economic growth and development in the digital age.
The Kaduna State Ministry of Education is therefore pleased to invite applications from interested students for admission into the six new model science secondary schools recently established in the State.
ELIGIBILITY
Academic Qualification
Prospective candidates(both male & female) must have passed the BECE Examination with distinction in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Basic Science and Tech
- Prevocational Studies/Agric Science, instead of Civic Education
Grade B is acceptable for students with special needs.
Age
Applicants must not exceed 15 years at the time of admission.
Medical Certificate
The student must be physically and mentally healthy. Students are required to present medical certificates from a government hospital.
Mode of Screening/Entrance Examination
Candidates that meet the requirements will be required to take the CBT placement examination and submit themselves for physical screening.
Inclusiveness
Students with special needs (hearing Impaired and physically challenged) are encouraged to apply.
