The Kebbi State Hisbah Board says it is investigating an alleged case of immorality involving a young man from Abuja and a girl who had been declared missing from Atiku Villa in Birnin Kebbi.
According to a statement issued by the Media Team of the Board, the two were found to have spent two days together in a hotel.
Preliminary findings show that the girl had left home for two days without her parents’ knowledge, prompting a search before she was located.
The Hisbah Board said it used the incident to remind parents and guardians to closely monitor their children and instill proper moral upbringing to prevent them from engaging in acts contrary to religious and societal values.
The Board reaffirmed its commitment to tackling all forms of vice and immorality in the state to ensure peace and maintain public morality.
