Ahead of Kwara United Football Club’s first home match in the 2023-2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season on Sunday, a stakeholders meeting has been scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday October 5th, 2023, from 3.00pm.
The gathering, which will hold under the auspices of the Kwara State Football Association, will come up at tne Indoor Sports Hall of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Stadium Complex, Ilorin.
In a release signed by the State FA, and endorsed by its Chairman, Mallam Idris Abdullahi Musa , the brainstorming session became necessary, in order to discuss NPFL procedures regarding home games.
The procedures covers security, health, categorisation of sitting arrangements, entry points and others, so as to have a hitch-free engagements before, during and after matches.
Kwara United Football Club will host Abia Warriors in its first home match of the season. The team lost by a lone goal to Katsina United in Katsina, in its very first match of the season last Saturday.
Among the group of stakeholders excepted to grace the brainstorming session are the Kwara State chapter of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association (NFCA), Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), all classes of security personnel, and members of the state chapter of the Nigeria Football Regerees Association (NRA).
Others are medical personnel, including the Nigeria Red Cross Society, other relevant stakeholders and Kwara United officials, led by the Chairman, Kumbi Titiloye, as well as the Supporters and Fans Clubs.
Kwara United Football Club will be returning home this season after playing all its home matches in the 2022/2023 NPFL season away from home, in both Ibadan and Akure, owing to the re-grassing of the Main-Bowl pitch.
