Lagos State health commissioner, Prof. Akin Abayomi has recovered from the COVID-19.
His recovery was disclosed by the Lagos Commissioner for Information, Gbenga Omotoso via his Twitter account on Monday.
The statement reads, “It is with gratitude to God that I announce the recovery and subsequent negative test for COVID-19 of the Honorable Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi.” he tweeted.
He added, “Following the mandatory isolation, the Commissioner retook a COVID-19 PCR test which returned negative yesterday evening.”
Dateline Nigeria earlier reported that Prof. Akin Abayomi tested positive to coronavirus. The commissioner added that he was fine and responding to treatment.
