The 3rd biennial West Africa Capital Market Conference (WACMaC) is slated to hold from October 25-26 in Lagos, Nigeria.
The conference, with the theme “Infrastructure Deficit and Sustainable Financing in an integrated West Africa Market”, will hold at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos.
It is expected to promote economic integration through the capital market in West Africa, bring innovative solutions to reduce the gap between capital markets and the financial needs of the economy in the region and increase awareness around the benefits of regional integration, among others.
Dateline Nigeria reports that WACMaC is a flagship programme of the West Africa Securities Regulators Association (WASRA).
“As a biennial event, WACMaC seeks to present the West African region and indeed Africa as a whole with the opportunity to address important issues relating to the orderly growth and development of the regional and continental capital markets and attract investment into the sub-region.
“The Organizing members of WACMaC are the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), WASRA, West African Capital Markets Integration Council (WACMIC), and West Africa Monitoring Institute (WAMI),” it said on its website.
Leading global experts and market leaders are also expected to share concrete case studies at the two-day event.
