
Senator Simon Bako Lalong, representing Plateau South Senatorial District at the National Assembly is calling on Nigerians to embrace the values and strengths of their cultures and traditions towards enhancing peace, mutual understanding and collaboration that accelerates development.
Senator Lalong was speaking in his Senatorial District during Waptoer 2025, the cultural festival of the Kwalla Development Association in Qua’an-Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Lalong praised the Kwalla Development Association for sustaining the Waptoer Cultural festival and leveraging on its provisions to create awareness and interest among its people and visitors.
He said such events clearly afford the Kwalla Development Association a window to showcase its potentials in agriculture, human capital, education and others which attract investments that will benefit the people.
The Senator assured the Kwalla people that he will continue to support them through robust representation that focuses on attracting projects and programmes that are beneficial to the people.
He disclosed that soon, the 100 bed Muhammadu Buhari Hospital for mother and child located at Gidan Dabat will be commissioned to offer tertiary health services to the people. In addition, Lalong said the Kwalla Dam will be carried out to tackle perennial water shortages.

John Dafaan also commended the Kwalla Community Association for hosting the cultural fiesta which he said has continued tonwax stronger and bringing more people together.
He also promised to continue to bring in Development through quality representation touching various areas of need.
Acting President Kwalla Development Association Comrade Endiye Pamtoe welcomed guests to the event and thanked Senator Lalong for leading a powerful delegation of National and state Legislators to the fiesta.
He said the event has galvanised the people of Kwalla to address issues relating chieftaincy and representation, preservation of cultural heritage, combating substance and drug abuse, crime and criminality among others.
