Lalong pays condolence visit to Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, others

Senator Simon Bako Lalong (APC, Plateau South) has paid condolence visits to some bereaved families in Jos.

Senator Lalong visited the residence of Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, the National Chairman, Council of Ulamas, JIBWIS to commiserate with him over the death of his second Deputy Chairman Sheikh Saeed Hassan who died recently.

Senator Lalong described his death as a big loss to the organisation and its members as he has contributed significantly to its growth and impact in the society.

He said the vacuum created by his exit will be felt as he was a pillar of support to the leadership of JIBWIS and its members.

Lalong while praying God to forgive his sins and grant him eternal rest said the legacies of love, hardwork and unity he cherished and canvasse

He used the opportunity to appreciate Jingir for his support and prayers for peace and unity over the years describing his role as commendable.

While responding, Sheikh Jingir thanked Senator Lalong and his entourage for the visit describing the deceased as a man of peace and a very trustworthy ally.

He also thanked Senator Lalong for his passion for peace and progress recalling his tenure as Governor of Plateau State where he carried all segments of society along.

He also thanked Senator Lalong for standing with the people and always working with the Federal Government to ensure that there is justice, peace and progress.

Senator Lalong also visited the residence of late Alhaji Ali Barde to condole them over the death of their father who was one time Board Member Plateau United.

He also visited the former Secretary of the Plateau APC Hon. Bashir Musa Sati to wish him well as he recovers from a recent health challenge.

Lalong was accompanied by his former Secretary to Government Prof. Danladi Atu and some commissioners
