Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt Hon Abbas Tajudeen, has met with different categories of stakeholders in his Zaria Federal Constituency between Sunday and Monday.
The stakeholders included business class, Ulamas, entrepreneurs, women and youth groups, party faithful, NGOs and CSOs, support groups, among others.
The speaker used the opportunity to sell the candidature of Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the chairmanship of Zaria Local Government in the forthcoming council elections in Kaduna State.
“As a core loyalist who served our party in different capacities for several years, the APC chairmanship candidate comes with rich experience in both public and private sectors. He was the Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration) in my office before he threw his hat in the ring for the chairmanship contest.
“Engr. Jamil was my campaign director for about 12 years. He has never disappointed me in all the assignments I entrusted him with. He is a tested and trusted politician, who stands out among his peers.
“Today, I can beat my chest to say that he knows Zaria and the feelings of the people there very well. I am proud of him, and I know he will do well if elected as the Chairman of Zaria Local Government,” the speaker said in a post on X, formerly Twitter, on Monday.
Dateline Nigeria reports that the Number Four citizen also said he, together with the stakeholders, had frank deliberations on issues that concern the well-being and welfare of the people of Zaria Federal Constituency.
