Both players posted the same picture on their Instagram account, in which they can be seen face to face while playing a chess match that has a Louis Vuitton suitcase as a board.
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo made the post in what appears to be a paid advertisement campaign by the French brand.
Both of their captions read: “Victory is a State of Mind. A long tradition of crafting trunks”.

Cristiano Ronaldo gave an interview to Piers Morgan in the past weeks and it aired this week leading up to the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Portuguese spoke about a variety of issues but his comments regarding Lionel Messi left many astonished, as he said that he wants to be friends with him and have a similar relationship to the one Maradona and Pelé had.
“He is an amazing player. Magic. Top. As a person, we share the stage 16 years. Imagine 16 years. So, I have great relationship with him,” Ronaldo told Morgan.
