Mane equals Luis Suarez in Liverpool’s Premier League scoring books

Sadio Mane has entered the top five Liverpool goalscorers in Premier League history, drawing level with Luis Suarez thanks to his goal against West Brom on Sunday.

The Senegalese forward arrived at Anfield from Southampton for 41.2 million euros in 2016 and has proved to be one of Jurgen Klopp‘s finest acquisitions as coach.

Alongside the likes of Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, Mane has fired Liverpool to Champions League and Premier League glory.

His goal against West Brom, struck in the first half of Sunday’s 1-1 draw, was his 69th in the Premier League for Liverpool.

Mane has reached that figure in 141 games, which is 31 fewer than Suarez had played when his Premier League career ended in 2014.

Robbie Fowler (128 goals), Steven Gerrard (121), Michael Owen (118) and Salah (86) make up the rest of the top five in Liverpool’s Premier League scorers list.

Fernando Torres averaged more than a goal every two games during his spell at Anfield, scoring 65 goals in 102 Premier League matches.
