All is set for the wedding ceremony of the daughter former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and the son of Katsina business mogul Alhaji Dahiru Barau Mangal.
Fahad Dahiru Barau Mangal and Aishatu Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso will be joined as husband and wife Saturday at the palace of the Emir of Kano Khalifa Dr. Muhammadu Sanusi II by 11am”.
Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf will give Aisha’s hands in the marraige to Engr. Fahad.
Dateline Nigeria reports that dignitaries from within and outside Nigeria started arriving in Kano on Friday for the Saturday event.
Those received by the father of the bride Rabiu Kwankwaso include: former Senate President Abubakar Bukola Saraki, former Givernors (now Senators) Abdulaziz Yaru of Zamfara State and Adamu Aliero of Kebbi State, and Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi.
The National Leader of the Izala movement Sheikh Bala Lau, alongside Sheikh Kabiru Gombe are among influential religious leaders present at the event.
A statement by Governor Yusuf’s spokesperson Mr. Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa had said that the two prominent families have extended invitations to friends, families, political associates, business community, organized private sector players, captains of the the industries.
