Minister of State for Education Tanko Sununu visits Voice of Nigeria

On Wednesday, 25th September 2024, I had the privilege of welcoming the Honorable Minister of State for Education, Hon. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, to the Voice of Nigeria Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.

During his visit, the Minister expressed his appreciation to the Voice of Nigeria management for the warm reception and reiterated the Ministry’s support for our efforts.

He highlighted the critical role of public communication platforms like ours in raising awareness about government initiatives aimed at reducing the number of out-of-school children and driving policies that will shape the future of quality education in the 21st century.

Hon. Sununu also praised the diversity of languages in which we broadcast, noting that this unique strength enhances our reach and inclusivity, not only to Nigerians but also to Africans across the continent.

In response, I expressed my gratitude to the Honorable Minister for his visit and assured him that Voice of Nigeria will continue to use its platforms to promote the ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda, with a focus on policies and initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for all Nigerians.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for his unwavering commitment to education and for his efforts to revitalize public communication outlets such as NTA, FRCN, VON, and NAN.

Additionally, we commend the Honorable Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, for his steadfast support and directive to public media organizations to actively promote the activities of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

Voice of Nigeria remains eager to collaborate with all stakeholders to realize our shared vision for the cultural and educational advancement of Nigeria.

Together, we can continue to work towards a brighter and more unified future for our nation.
