Former Nigerian Vice President Muhammad Namadi Sambo will lead a 90-member delegation of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to observe the presidential election taking place in Niger Republic on Sunday.
The members of the delegation are drawn from the 16-member countries of ECOWAS.
The President of the ECOWAS Commission, Mr. Jean-Claude Kassi Brou, had earlier led experts to a discussion with stakeholders in Niamey, the capital of Niger.
The presidential and parliamentary elections are scheduled to hold on Sunday, December 27, 2020. The current president Mahamadou Issoufou is about to finish his second term.
