The Director General, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) Fatima Waziri-Azi, on Monday 16th January, 2023, led the Management and Officers of the Agency and other Stakeholders to the Public hearing on a Bill to amend the Trafficking in Persons Prohibition Enforcement and Administration (TIPPEA) Act 2015.
The Public Hearing was organized by the Federal House of Representatives, Committee on Human rights and was aimed at addressing the inclusion of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, in the Governing Board of NAPTIP, and strengthen TIPPEA Act by reviewing the offences and penalties, incorporate emerging trends provisions and other related matters.
