Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has forwarded the names of 16 commissioner nominees to the state House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
Governor Sule had on January 3, 2025, dissolved his cabinet.
The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, announced the names of the nominees during the House proceedings in Lafia, the state capital, on Monday.
Jatau said, “The governor has submitted 16 names of commissioner nominees to the Assembly for screening and confirmation, and I want to urge the appointees to submit 30 copies of their Curriculum Vitae to the House on or before Thursday this week and appear for screening next week Monday.”
Those appointed by the governor include Yakubu Kwanta (Akwanga LGA), Hon. Tanko Tunga (Awe LGA), Hajiya Munirat Abdullahi and Gabriel Agbashi (Doma LGA), Barr. Isaac Danladi Amadu (Karu LGA), Princess Margret Itaki Elayo (Keana LGA), Dr. Ibrahim Tanko (Keffi LGA) and Dr. John Mamman (Kokona LGA).
Others are Hon Aminu Mu’azu Maifata and retired CP Usman Baba (Lafia LGA), Hon. Mohammed Sani Ottos (Nasarawa LGA), Hon. Mohammed Agah Muluku (Nassarawa Eggon LGA), Barr. David Moyi (Obi LGA), Dr. Gaza Gwamna (Toto LGA) and Barr. Jugbo Hauwa Samuel and Hon. Mu’azu Gosho (Wamba LGA).
