NDLEA and Kaduna assembly partner to combat drug abuse

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and Kaduna State House of Assembly have agreed to work together to combat the menace of drug abuse

The Assistant Commander General of Narcotics, Sule Momodu,Zonal Commander of Zone F, overseeing Kaduna and Katsina States for the NDLEA paid a courtesy visit to the Kaduna State House of Assembly on Thursday.

The purpose of the commander’s visit was to initiate a partnership between the NDLEA and the Kaduna Assembly in combating drug abuse across Kaduna State, according to a statement by Mal. Suraj Bamalli, media aide to the Kaduna speaker.

This collaboration aims to implement effective strategies to curb the menace of drug abuse and its adverse effects on the society.

During the meeting, the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly expressed his full support for the initiative, emphasizing the importance of working together to achieve a drug-free society.

He pledged the Assembly’s commitment to providing the necessary legislative support and resources to ensure the success of the collaborative efforts between the NDLEA and the Kaduna State House of Assembly.
