The global leadership team of RiceAfrika Technologies was at the headquarters of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (FMAFS), Abuja, on the invitation of the Honorable Minister, Senator Abubakar Kyari, to present its award-winning FarmEASY Operating System (OS) to the ministry’s leadership, project teams, and heads of agencies under the ministry.
RiceAfrika Technologies, a tech-driven agriculture optimization service provider with operations in Nigeria, Tanzania, and Rwanda, is addressing the issue of food insecurity in Africa.
Its award-winning FarmEASY OS is designed to significantly enhance the productivity of Smallholder Farmers, offering a beacon of hope for a more prosperous agricultural sector.
The RiceAfrika team, led by its Founder/CEO Ibrahim Maigari Ahmadu, presented the FarmEASY OS to the FMAFS as a technology infrastructure for the development and management of a national farmer database at the Minister’s conference room on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.
The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, under the visionary leadership of Senator Abubakar Kyari, is exploring partnerships with solution providers like RiceAfrika to improve the productivity of smallholder farmers in Nigeria.
This is in line with the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration’s renewed hope agenda to improve the availability, affordability, and accessibility of food in Nigeria.
The presentation and proposal from RiceAfrika were met with resounding applause and appreciation from various ministry directors, project teams, and heads of agencies, instilling confidence in the potential of a partnership.
According to the Director of the Federal Department of Agriculture of the ministry, Engr. Abdullahi.G. Abubakar (who coordinated the event):
