The Minister of Power Engr. Sale Mamman has announced the appointment of Dr. Nnaemeka Eweluka as the new Managing Director for the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading (NBET), PLC.
Eweluka, who was the NBET’s General Counsel and Secretary before his appointment, succeeds Dr. Marilyn Amobi, who has since been directed to handover and proceed on terminal leave with immediate effect.
A statement by the Special Adviser Media & Communications to the Minister of Power, Aaron Artimas, said the appointment is in furtherance of the reorganization/ realignments in the Power Sector.
The statement added that President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier approved the recommendation to this effect.
Dr. Eweluka, a lawyer comes to this position with over twenty years’ experience, spanning private practice, academics and the Power sector.
He is a specialist on privatization and legal energy reforms as well as a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration.
