Governor Godwin Obaseki has appointed Hon. Omobayo Marvellous Godwin as new deputy governor of Edo State.
This followed the impeachment of Hon. Philip Shaibu who has since initiated movesi to challenge his removal in court
Godwin, 38-year-old Electrical Electronics Engineer, was inaugurated on Monday at an event attended by family members and associates.
Popularly known as MOG, the new deputy governor contested as the Labour party candidate for the Federal House of Representatives in the Akoko-Edo Federal Constituency during the 2023 elections.
