The Federal University Dutse Local Conference Organising Committee for the just concluded first North West Zonal Conference of the Nigerian Political Science Association has presented an award to the Vice-Chancellor Federal University Dutse, Prof.Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed.
The VC was honoured for being an excellent host and for his total support which ensured the success of the maiden conference.
Prof. M. B. Umar, who led other members of the committee to present the award, said it was
meant to show their appreciation to the VC for his moral and financial support during the conference.
Prof. Umar also appreciated the wonderful role played by the Governor of Jigawa state ,Alhaji Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar who was physically present at the conference adding that the Governor has also redeemed his pledge to the association.
In appreciation of the effort of the governor, the association also gave a plaque to the VC for onward presentation to Governor Badaru Abubakar.
In his response, the VC thanked the organisers for the award adding that the maiden Northwest Zonal Conference hosted by FUD is one the best conferences ever hosted by the university.
He commended the organisers for a job well done adding that the NPSA National Conference coming up in Jigawa next year will be a grand event inshaAllah.
He thanked the organisers for giving the Governor an award adding that a date will be fixed for the presentation of the award to His Excellency at the Government House.
