Oyo State former Governor Abiola Ajimobi has passed on, Dateline Nigeria reports.
Ajimobi died in a Lagos hospital a little over a week since he was named as acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The former governor’s name was announced after the Court of Appeal affirmed the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole.
Ajimobi, whose son Idris is married to Fatima the daughter of Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, died at the age of 70, on the same day the APC NWC was dissolved and replaced by a caretaker chairman in the person of Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State.
