The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) says it will call off it’s seven months old strike when the federal government pays the outstanding salaries of it’s members.
Professor Ade Adejumo, the Zonal Coordinator of ASUU in Ibadan zone made this known to newsmen in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Adejumo added that despite the ongoing negotiation, the federal government is yet to pay ASUU members their salaries and other allowances.
Adejumo said some members were selectively paid “amputated salaries” to starve the union of the energy needed to sustain the negotiations.
