The immediate past governor of Kaduna State Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai has visited former President Olusegun Obasanjo in his Abeokuta home, Ogun State.
El-Rufai disclosed this on X, formerly Twitter, on Sunday, noting that “Earlier today, I visited my boss, former President Olusegun Obasanjo welcomed me and my friends his Abeokuta home.
“We were hosted to a sumptuous lunch by Mrs. Obasanjo for which we are very grateful. Back to base for Christmas in sha Allah.”
Dateline Nigeria reports that El-Rufai, who served as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) under Obasanjo, has been visiting some Nigerian leaders recently. Those he had visited include former Minister of Defence retired General Aliyu Gusau and former President Muhammadu Buhari.
El-Rufai was nominated as minister by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu but the former governor withdrew his nomination after the Senate refused to clear him along with other nominees, citing security reports
