‘PMB should give you GCBBBFR’: El-Rufai mocks SERAP on Twitter

Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has mocked the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) after civil society organization announced that it was suing the Buhari administration over the discovery of illegal oil pipelines, to compel it to name those responsible for the plundering of the country’s oil wealth, bring them to justice, and recover the proceeds of crime.

But reacting to the announcement via his Twitter handle, el-Rufai said “PMB should have given you guys the first-in-history national honor of GCBBFR – Grand Clowns and Busy-Bodies of the Federal Republic!! Your thoughtless words and ineffective actions have earned the recognition!!”

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited had on Tuesday said it uncovered an illegal 4-km oil connection from Forcados Terminal that operated for nine years, drawing mixed reactions from Nigerians..

Ex-Niger Delta militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo popularly known as Tompolo, who was recently given a N4bn contract by the Federal Government to protect oil pipelines, had also announced that they found over 58 points that have been tapped in both Delta and Bayelsa states.”
