Bauchi State Police Command has arrested five suspects for alleged armed robbery, culpable homicide.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Ahmed Muhammad Wakil, disclosed this in a statement in Bauchi on Tuesday.
“The operatives of State Police Command have arrested three suspects involved in an audacious armed robbery in Misau Local Government Area of the State,” he said.
Wakil gave the names of the three suspects: arrested in Misau as Ahmad Musa alias Abba Yausa ‘m’ aged 20yrs, Tijjani Abdullahi alias T.J ‘m’ aged 20yrs and Danladi Aliyu (aka Uban Daba) ‘m’ aged 30yrs.
He said their alleged crimes include criminal conspiracy, housebreaking and armed robbery.
“The fact of the incident, sometime in July 2024, at about 2:30 hours, the suspects, along with four others, namely Ismail Kawuwa, Sadiq Kange, Adamu Dan Kamfani, and Attahir (still at large), conspired and unlawfully trespassed the residence of Malumi in Misau LGA, Bauchi State.
“Armed with locally made pistols and seven rounds of live ammunition, they robbed Malumi of ₦250,000, three handheld phones, and an unspecified quantity of recharge cards from various networks.”
He said “Ahmad Musa was apprehended by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) with a fabricated pistol and seven rounds of live ammunition. Upon interrogation, the suspects confessed to their involvement in the crime.”
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Auwal Musa Muhammad, has directed the Commanding Officer, CSP Sani Mohammed (O/C RRS), to transfer the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department for a thorough investigation. Upon completion, the suspects will be profiled and prosecuted for the crimes they have committed.
“The Command is working tirelessly to apprehend the remaining Fugitives. Members of the public with information on their whereabouts are urged to contact the nearby Police Station.”
In another development, Wakil said the command has successfully apprehended two suspects involved in the murder of Adamu Alkasim ‘m’, Aged 18yrs, of Kofar Dumi, Bauchi.

Wakil said “Usman Shehu conspired with four others to attack one Adamu, resulting in his death. Upon receiving the report, Commissioner of Police CP Auwal Musa Muhammad ordered a discreet investigation, leading to the arrest of Usman Shehu and Abdullahi Abubakar.”
He said “Ongoing Investigation and Prosecution:The case is still under investigation. Upon completion, the suspects will be profiled and charged to court.
“Efforts to Apprehend Fugitives: The command is working to apprehend the remaining suspects. Members of the public with information on their whereabouts are urged to contact the Police.”
