The Kano State Police Command has arrested a notorious thug iSadiq Ahmad, popularly known as Big Star, who inflicted life-threatening injuries on one of his victims.
Big Star, 33, had been on the wanted list of police, according to a statement on Friday by the Kano police spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa.
Kiyawa added that Big Star of Dorayi Karama Quarters Kano, had been on the police wanted list for terrorizing people within Kano metropolis.
“He was trailed and arrested after he used scissors, attacked and inflicted life-threatening injuries to one Abdulrahman Isah, ‘m’, 50 years old of the same address.
“The victim was rushed to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital Kano
where he was treated and discharged, and the violent suspect is currently in custody of the State been Criminal Investigation Department of the Command (CID) where a discreet investigation is ongoing.
“On preliminary investigation so far revealed that the suspect confessed to the violent atrocities he has committed. Furthermore, he raised claim that he was under the influence of drugs while he engaged in all those crimes.”
Big Star confessed that “I used to be induced with intoxicants and drugs such as Indian hemp, Diazepam, Exol and syrup and not in my state of mind.”,
Kiyawa said “At the conclusion of investigation the suspect(s) will be charged in court upon completion of the investigation.
“The Commissioner of Police use this medium to call on the members of the public with useful information that will lead to the arrest of more suspects especially Abba Burakita of Dorayi Karama Quarters Kano and Hantar Daba of Kwanar Disu Quarter Kano, to cooperate with the Police and volunteer such information.
“The Commissioner of Police still reiterated that the N500,000 cash bounty he placed on each of those declared wanted still stands.”
