Police confirm four people dead in Bauchi road accident

The Bauchi State has confirmed the death of four people and many others injured in an accident that occured in Jalam town in Dambam Local Government of the state.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Ahmed Mohammed Wakil confirmed the incident and the number of death to Journalists in Bauchi.

He identified all the four deceased as women. Their names are Ai’shatu Salihu, 25; Furera Haladu, 25; Zuwaira Dandija, 19, and Lahala Muhammed, 41.

The spokesman said the driver was conveying more than 30 people, and the people were going to market in Sade and driving on high speed when he lost control of the vehicle

He said, “The vehicle summersaulted and crashed into the bush. Many people were injured. When the police took them to the hospital, the doctor confirmed the death of four people.”

He said the State Commissioner of Police Awwal Musa Mohammed commiserated with the family of the deceased and advise them.to remain calm and urged the drivers to always follow and obey traffic laws.

Residents of Jalam said the accident happened in a village called , Dutsin Hari along Jalam to Lanzai road in Darazo Local Government Area.

They said that the driver of the car loaded many people, which was full of many people on his way to jalam the car lost control he fell down in the bush 4 people died after the accident and 16 people were injured.

Among the 16 injured people 16 9 people, are in Jalam town hospital, five people went to the General Hospital, Dambam and two people were taken to Azare because of the serious injuries they sustained.
