Former Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria and now chairman of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) Professor Ango Abdullahi and his former wife Senator Aisha Jummai Alhassan ‘reunited’ last Saturday as their son Sadiq Ango opened a restaurant in Abuja.
The A Class Restaurant, which was opened on Saturday, September 12, is situated at the famous A Class Park on Kashim Ibrahim Way in Abuja.
According to Sadiq Ango, the A Class Restaurant is aimed at becoming Abuja’s finest where people can have access to world class food and drinks in a serene environment.
It would be recalled that Senator Jummai Alhassan, a former minister and the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State in 2015, married Prof Ango Abdullahi in September 1979.
Aisha Alhassan was an SBS student and Vice President/Acting President of the Student Union Government while Ango Abdullahi was then a Deputy Vice Chancellor at the ABU when they met.
“He (Prof Ango) was always representing the then ABU Vice Chancellor Prof. O. O. Akinkugbe at meetings with SUG Exco. He became Vice Chancellor three months after our marriage in December 1979,” Senator Jummai Alhassan once said in an interview.
Senator Jummai Alhassan, who has three children for Professor Ango Abdullahi, including Sadiq and two daughters, is now the wife of Engineer M. S. Alhassan whom she married in 2007.
