
Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has approved the appointment of Malam Nura Tela as the new Accountant General of the state.
Tela succeeds Alhaji Malik Anas, who is set to retire after 35 years of service.
The appointment takes effecti from August 31, 2023, according to a statement by the Governor’s spokesman Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed. .
Nura Tela, a Katsina indigene from Jikamshi, Musawa Local Government Area, previously served as the Technical Assistant on Treasury Matters to Gov. Radda.
In the same vein, Gov. Radda has assigned the new role of Special Adviser on Banking and Finance to the immediate-past Accountant General, Alhaji Malik Anas.
“Both Malam Nura Tela and Alhaji Malik Anas will officially assume their new responsibilities on August 31, 2023.
“The Governor’s office holds unwavering confidence in their capacity to make substantial contributions to the ongoing growth and development of the state,” Kaula Mohammed said in the statement.
