The Management team of the Rural Electrification Agency of Nigeria (REA) led by Modi Salihijo, on Monday, paid a working visit to the Federal Ministry of Power to officially meet and brief the newly appointed Minister of Power, Engr. Abubakar D Aliyu.
The Honourable Minister, who had earlier requested a brief from the Agency commended the efforts of the Agency, while emphasising the need for close-knit partnerships, collaboration and team work to enable the growth needed in the sector.

The Honourable Minister of Power as well as the Honourable Minister for State, Power Honourable Goddy Jedy-Agba, received the REA team.
Engr. Abubakar emphasised the need for dedication and the right attitude to work amongst critical stakeholders, especially in a sector in need of accelerated impact to close the energy gap.
This visit enabled us to brief the Honourable Minister on the active 5-year strategy of the Agency, as well as the state of play on the achievements and impact we have made across all our programmes and initiatives.
With the unwavering support of President Muhammadu Buhari as well as the guidance of the Federal Ministry of Power, our objective is to continue to energize the unserved and the underserved equitably across the nation.
